How You Can Help
The Yakima Valley Trolleys depend on volunteers and donations to keep the railroad running. If you would like to help, here are some convenient ways to become involved. Keep in mind that the Yakima Valley Trolleys are a 501 (c) (3) organization and all contributions are fully tax-deductable.
1. Donations of items:
A. The items listed below are needed for the restoration of our overhead wire to Selah:

2. Donations of services:
A. Lineman to assist with restoring overhead wire
B. Machinist to assist with repairing trolley controllers
C. Electricians to refurbish trolley wiring
D. Body repair person to restore metal trolley bodies
E. Highway transportation of trolley to Yakima from Seattle
F. Docents to show the museum to visitors and staff the gift shop
G. Groundskeepers to keep the trolley yard free of weeds
H. What can you do to help? Become a part of Yakima's famous historic trolley operation.
3. Financial Contributions
A. We will soon have the capability to safely accept online credit card donations. Please continue to watch this page. In the mean time, checks may be sent to Treasurer, Yakima Valley Trolleys, PO Box 796, Yakima, Washington 98907-0796.
B. Sponsorship of specific trolley projects. As an example, one local business donated the cost of producing trolley t-shirts to sell in our gift shop for the 2007 season. Contact us to find out how you can become a sponsor for a specific project.
4. Trolley Advertisements
A. Businesses can donate $150 which will entitle them to one trolley advertisement card in each trolley for one season. Subsequent seasons are $100. Contact us for details.
