The mission of the Yakima Valley Trolleys is to preserve, restore, maintain, and operate the former Yakima Valley Transportation Company railroad line in such fashion as to present a historically accurate representation of day-to-day operations of the Yakima Valley Transportation Company.
We endeavor to:
- Preserve America’s last intact, early 20th Century, interurban electric railroad (listed on the National Register of Historic Places)
- Delight visitors and residents of Yakima alike by transporting them back in time
- Educate the public about the important role of street and interurban railroads such as ours in the economic development of both Yakima and the nation
